You're allowed to use your calculatorfor the portion of the Math Test. But you need to do more than making sure you have a new pair of batteries.Important:

Calculators cannot be found at the test center and you aren't able to give away a calculator.
Quick Facts
- Only the calculators mentioned on this webpage are acceptable in the Math Test-Calculator part of the test.
- You should not make use of any calculator when you are working on your Reading, Writing and Language, or Math Test--No Calculator sections. You are required to remove the calculator away during these segments in the tests.
- You'll be ejected and your score canceled If you use your calculator to share information during the exam, or to remove test questions or their answers from the testing room.
Calculator Smarts
- Bring your own calculator. You can't share one.
- Don't bring a completely new calculator. Bring one you're comfortable with. Prepare for the test with the same calculator that you'll use on the day of your test.
- This Math Test includes some questions that you should not employ a calculator even though you're allowed to.
- It is helpful to perform some scratch work in the exam book. Get your thoughts down before using your calculator.
- Make sure that your calculator is in condition and the batteries are new. The test facility will not provide extra calculators or batteries. If your calculator malfunctions during the test and you do not have a backup it will be necessary to pass the test without it.

Calculators are permitted only to take the Subject Tests in Mathematics. Learn more about the rules and suggestions.
Acceptable Calculators
If you own the calculator with characters that are 1 inch or more or if the calculator has a raised display that could be visible to other test-takers, you will be allowed to sit at the discretion of the test coordinator.
Only battery-operated, handheld equipment can be used to test. The use of power cords is not allowed.
Calculators that are permitted for testing include:

- Calculators with four function. (not advised)

Unacceptable Calculators
You cannot make use of the following items as calculators: calculator:
- Laptops and other computer systems, tablets, mobile phones, smartwatches, or wearable technology
- Models that have access to the Internet, have wireless, Bluetooth and cellular connectivity, recording and playing of audio/video, camera, or any other smartphone-type features
- Models that feature a computer-style (QWERTY) keypad pen input, pen input, or stylus
- Models that use electrical outlets, create noise or are made of paper tape
- Additionally, the use of hardware devices such as stylus with an approved calculator is not allowed. Some models with touchscreen capability are not permitted (e.g., Casio ClassPad).
